Database Servers:
Database Servers need a slightly different configuration to
provide high performance. Most database servers keep key indexes (lists) in memory and look up the
information requested in these indexes. This usually requires as much memory as possible to provide
local access to these indexes. If these indexes point to very large data sets that reside on disk, the
interface from the server to the disk storage is also very important.
